Jethro Seymour

Broker of Record · MCNE

I started my sales career in 1994 in publishing and media sales. Over three decades I’ve learned the art of publishing, the science of digital and print marketing, the technology of construction and the economics of real estate.

More than ten years of that was in print: advertising sales at NOW Magazine, then advertising sales manager at Parkhurst, selling to readers in some years and to businesses in others. It taught me how a home has to look on paper and on a screen before anyone books a showing.

I became a full-time Realtor in 2008. Today The Seymour Team helps buyers, sellers and investors across Midtown Toronto. In 2026 I’m in the top 1% of Toronto Realtors (realty sales statistics). In 2023 I was in the top 1% of Royal LePage REALTORS® nationally and received the Chairman’s Club Award. I’m a Master Certified Negotiation Expert (MCNE), and I negotiate every offer myself.

I built a home from the ground up

I built a custom home from scratch: the demolition, the excavation, the foundation and the build itself. I did some of the work with my own hands, hired a general contractor for the rest, and was there for every decision. The result is a home built around technology and building science, and a working knowledge of what sits behind the walls. When I walk a house with you, I see what an inspector will flag and what a repair really involves, before you call anyone.

How we work with you

I am hands-on with every client and I manage the whole process. The team organizes and orchestrates the moving parts; my part is the negotiation and answering your questions. Kaz steps in when she has to, or when a quick question needs a quick answer, but I am there from the first conversation to the closing.

That matters because once a team grows past a certain size, its agents work independently and compete with one another, and a client can be passed from one to the next. A team of that size is a brokerage with a team’s name. Ours is small on purpose, with one broker in the room.

Where we work

Our core neighbourhoods are Davisville Village, Chaplin Estates, Lawrence Park, Leaside, Moore Park, North Toronto, Rosedale and Yonge & St Clair.

We also work the neighbourhoods around them, each with its own boundary on this site. North: Bedford Park, Lytton Park, Allenby, Cricket Club, Wanless Park, Teddington Park, Sherwood Park, Bennington Heights, Governor's Bridge, Hoggs Hollow, York Mills and Bridle Path. Central and west: Forest Hill, Deer Park, Summerhill, South Hill, Rathnally, Casa Loma, The Annex, Yorkville, Wychwood, Humewood, Seaton Village, Harbord Village, Christie Pits, Little Italy and Roncesvalles. East and downtown: Cabbagetown, Corktown, St. Lawrence Market, Playter Estates, Riverdale, Leslieville and The Beaches.

Helping a family into their next home is the best part of my day.

I studied Business Administration at York University. I support neighbourhood schools, churches and charities like The Sick Kids Foundation and Second Kicks, and I volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. I can fly, sail, ski and golf (not all of them well). My wife loves that I took cooking classes at George Brown, so I’m often on kitchen duty. My family moved to Canada in 1976, and I spent my early years discovering Toronto. I love this city and the way it has grown, and I’m proud to be a Torontonian and a Canadian.

Questions people ask before they call

Will I be working with you, or handed to someone else?

With me. I am hands-on with every client and I manage the whole process from the first conversation to the closing. The team organizes the moving parts; I handle the negotiation and your questions.

Who does what on my file?

I price, negotiate and answer your questions. The team organizes showings, paperwork, marketing and deadlines. Kaz steps in when she has to, or to answer a quick question, but I stay on your file throughout.

Have you built a home yourself?

Yes. I built a custom home from scratch: demolition, excavation, foundation and the build. I did some of the work myself and hired a general contractor for the rest, and I was there for every decision. It is why I can tell you what a repair involves before you call anyone.

Which neighbourhoods do you cover?

Our core neighbourhoods are Davisville Village, Chaplin Estates, Lawrence Park, Leaside, Moore Park, North Toronto, Rosedale and Yonge & St Clair. We also work the neighbourhoods around them, from Bedford Park and Lytton Park in the north to Summerhill, Forest Hill and The Annex, and east to Riverdale and The Beaches; each has its own page and boundary on this site.
