We sold our family home on Clifton Road in Moore Park with Jethro Seymour and the Seymour Team this fall. I grew up in this house, walking to Deer Park from JK to grade 8, so it was a big deal and I felt the responsibility of it.
Jethro's analysis was very thorough, and I felt it was complete in sharing everything we needed to know. The house is updated but not gutted, with its original floors and mouldings, and he knew how to sell it that way. He had a home inspection done before listing, so buyers knew what they were getting, and his team handled the staging, photos, video and drone shots. When I was stressing about getting the piano out, he told us to leave it because the house looked great as it was. I saw the YouTube clip and loved it.
When the offers came in, he gave us clear direction and made time whenever the three of us needed to talk. Kaz kept everything moving to the end.
This was a very important journey, as it was the sale of my family home and the place my parents put their lives into for almost 60 years. Jethro was a mentor, a steady support and an unwavering advocate. He has an exceptional understanding of the whole process (as well as our neighbourhood and our house!). This, coupled with excellent communication, meant that at every step I was confident in his guidance and, ultimately, our decisions.
I am truly grateful to Jethro and his team. They were truly skilled and empathetic professionals. You couldn't find better.

We met Jethro about 15 years ago at Curling for SickKids, a charity bonspiel he helped run to raise money for SickKids Foundation. When we decided to downsize and sell our condo townhouse on Redpath, near Yonge and Eglinton, we asked him to help.
He started by helping us look at condos around Midtown over the spring and summer. When we asked whether club access was included in the condo fees at one building, he called the property manager and had an answer for us the next day.
Getting ready to list took some work. We rented a storage unit and cleared out a lot of stuff. Michael, their stager, did a great job, and we were very happy with how our home looked. Jethro and Dan ran the open houses and the Kaz kept the paperwork moving.
It was a tight market, but all it took was one good offer, and it sold in less than a month. Jethro also helped us line up our new place close by.
Great work by Jethro and his team. If you're downsizing at Yonge and Eglinton, we'd recommend them.

In 2012 Jethro not only sold our home in the Davisville Village neighbourhood,, he also found our current home in Milton, ON.
Over the years we have bought and renovated several homes in Toronto, using the services of different agents each time. However, upon meeting Jethro (at an Open House) and having discussed our intent to sell our home, we were convinced he was the agent we needed. Jethro's knowledge of the area, marketing strategy, and sales success proved second to none. We first worked with Jethro Seymour about ten years ago when we bought our first home in East York. That purchase went down to the wire in multiple offers, and Jethro's strategy got us the house. So when we were ready to move again, there was no question who we were calling.
This time we'd narrowed down the neighbourhoods we wanted — specific pockets of East York and the Danforth — and we needed someone who could move fast, give us straight construction advice, and tell us honestly whether a property would hold its value long-term. Jethro was the obvious choice and we trusted him to spot issues we couldn't see ourselves.
He responded immediately every time we called and got showings set up right away. When we finally found the house we wanted, Jethro built a real plan around it. He looked up the permit status on the renovations the homeowners had done to make sure everything was properly closed and nothing was outstanding, confirmed the parking was legal, checked the school district was the one we wanted, and reviewed every relevant document before we even thought about an offer.
