Canadian Real Estate Sales Make A Small Gain, Weighed Down By Vancouver
After making a huge jump in May, Canadian real estate sales are slowing in growth again. Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) numbers show an increase of less than a point in June. The increase was largely due to a jump in Southern Ontario, especially in Toronto. Lower Mainland was a drag on growth, with Vancouver’s numbers weighing down the national market.
Toronto now ranked one of top three cities in North America for tech talent
Fuelled by government-funded start-up accelerators, welcoming immigration policies and a healthy venture capital market, Toronto is now rated number three in North America for tech talent, according to the CBRE Group Inc.’s annual report.

With the real estate prices continuing to skyrocket in many Canadian cities, buying a home can feel out of reach for many.
Yet, homeownership is still a major goal for most, which is why a new survey from Finder, a personal finance comparison website, found that 54% of Canadians are willing to move cities in order to afford a home.
